An IRS Section 125 Plan is available for employees wanting to participate in this tax-sheltered program.

The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District recognizes professional development as an essential component to the process of student learning. Staff members are encouraged to continue their professional growth and are supported in those efforts. On-site opportunities are made available to both certified and classified staff members. These range from workshops on a variety of topics to graduate-level courses. The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District places a high value on its human resources and believes that an investment in employees results in a high return on student learning.

All regular employees who have been employed for not less than one preceding school year are eligible to participate in the school district’s educational assistance program. Our district provides reimbursement for staff members who are enrolled in additional graduate hours from approved universities. Full-time regular employees are eligible to be reimbursed for up to $40 per semester hour with a maximum of 12 hours per school term. All part-time regular employees are eligible to be reimbursed for up to $20 per semester hour with a maximum of 12 hours per school term.
