Art students from all Lee’s Summit R-7 high schools and middle schools are participating in the Summit Art Festival, scheduled for Oct. 7, 8 and 9 in Downtown Lee’s Summit. More than 200 pieces of student work will be displayed throughout the event in the Student Art Pavilion.
In addition, the middle and high school students will take part in Stuck on Art, an interactive art project. On Saturday morning Oct. 8, from 10 am to 1 pm, teams of 4-6 students from each of the six schools will create a work of art using black masking tape on a 3-foot-by-8-foot white vinyl banner. The project theme for 2016 is “Coming Together.”
