R-7 middle schools recognize Students of the Month for September

Lee’s Summit R-7 School District middle schools recently recognized their September Students of the Month. Students of the Month are recognized based on outstanding citizenship, conduct, attitude and school involvement.

Students of the Month from Bernard Campbell Middle School are Morgan McGurk and Kaleb Fothergill. At BCMS, Morgan is involved in concert choir, orchestra, Mustang Smart and student council. Away from school, Morgan enjoys tennis. At BCMS, Kaleb won the Jared Rice Citizenship Award. Away from school, Kaleb enjoys soccer.    

Students of the Month from Pleasant Lea Middle School are Sophia Hoffman and Jace Vendelin. At PLMS, Sophia is involved in spelling bee, choir, Tiger Travelers, Club 121, student council and is the volleyball team manager. Away from school, Sophia enjoys her church youth group. At PLMS, Jace is involved in awards show, football, choir, band, student council, Club 121 and was lead in the school musical.  Away from school, Jace enjoys playing the drums in church youth worship and singing.   

Students of the Month from Summit Lakes Middle School are Anna Eulinger and Camden Careswell. At SLMS, Anna is involved in Falcon Smart, library assistant, magazine representative and Raspberry Pi Group. Away from school, Anna enjoys competitive dance team, piano, hunting, art and reading. At SLMS, Camden is involved in football and basketball. Away from school, Camden enjoys competitive baseball, football and basketball.
