Lee’s Summit R-7 School District appoints Mason Elementary Principal

The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District Board of Education approved a new principal for Mason Elementary during its regular board meeting on May 16, 2024.

Ashley Imming will begin her duties as principal of Mason Elementary, where she currently serves as assistant principal starting on July 22, 2024. 

Imming has been in education for eight years, the last seven of those in the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District. Prior to her tenure as Assistant Principal, she taught second, third and fourth grades at Longview Farm and Summit Pointe elementaries in LSR7. She previously taught fifth grade in the Liberty Public School District.

Imming earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Northwest Missouri State University and an Education Specialist Degree in K-12 Administration from the University of Central Missouri. She’s currently working on her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from William Woods University.

She recently won the 2024 Outstanding Assistant Principal award from the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals
