111 LSR7 Seniors Earn the Missouri Seal of Biliteracy

A total of 111 seniors across the Lee's Summit School District have earned the Missouri Seal of Biliteracy, a prestigious recognition of their proficiency in English and at least one other language.

This year, 106 students earned the Seal of Biliteracy, and five earned the Distinguished Seal, awarded to those who demonstrate advanced levels of language proficiency. Students who earn the Seal receive an official credential that supports both college and career readiness by recognizing the real-world value of multilingual communication skills.

Languages represented include American Sign Language (ASL), Dari, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
