Annual LSR7 Freeze Out event a success

The annual Freeze Out event hosted by Tiger SMART, Bronco SMART and Titan SMART made a huge impact, collecting hundreds of items that will reach around Lee's Summit. In all generous donors brought the following to the donation site:

• 305 shirts
• 132 pants
• 135 coats
• 153 cold weather items (hats, gloves, scarves, etc.)
• 14 pairs of shoes
• 168 food items
• 15 blankets 
• 2 sleeping bags

Four bags of clothing will stay at the Lee's Summit High School health room for students who need a change of clothes. Three cars full of donations made their way to Coldwater and Lee's Summit Social Services, another went to Uplift along with 75 bags for the organization to help those experiencing homelessness.

Thank you to everyone who came out to donate and wonderful work by all the students in the SMART programs at all three high schools.
