Five LSR7 students named National Merit Scholar semifinalists

Congratulations are in order for five Lee's Summit R-7 School District seniors who were named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. These students are in the running to continue in the competition to earn National Merit Scholarships this year. High school seniors who are semifinalists for the 2024 scholarships qualified after taking the 2022 PSAT as a junior.

Now, each semifinalist must submit a scholarship application to provide information about their academics, involvement and leadership to move onto the finalist round.

The LSR7 semifinalists for the 2024 National Merit scholarships include:

  • Kaylei Stahl-Winch (LSHS)
  • Thomas Berhe (LSN)
  • Alex Grider (LSN)
  • Leila Potocnik (LSN)
