LSHS publications earn 27 awards at J Day

Lee’s Summit High School is proud to announce that its student publications, Hi Life News, Tiger Broadcast and Reflector Yearbook have earned prestigious state-level awards, recognizing the exceptional talent, dedication, and professionalism of the school’s student journalists and staff.

Abel Lusk and Addy Williams serve as co-editors for Hi Life News. Karrigan Blankenship and Alyssa Terrono serve as co-editors for the Reflector Yearbook. Jessica Flowers advises Hi Life News and the Reflector Yearbook.

Lillian Maycock serves as the News Director and Evan Nitsche serves as the Assistant News Director for Tiger Broadcast. Elaine Roesbery advises Tiger Broadcast.

All student publications at LSHS were recognized with awards at the state Journalism Day, hosted by the Missouri Interscholastic Journalism Association. These awards honor excellence in areas such as reporting, writing, design, and overall publication quality.
