LSR7 Robotics teams compete at World Championship
The Lee's Summit R-7 School District is sending a huge congratulations to each robotics team, which all qualified for the World Championship in Houston April 20-23
After two days of competition, Lee's Summit High School's Team Driven won their division, consisting of 75 other teams, and moved on to a round robin tournament to determine the best in the entire competition. The team ended in third place overall.
The Lee's Summit West Team Titanium finished fifth in their division concluding a season that included two regional victories and multiple individual student recognitions.
The Lee's Summit North Broncobots made it through their division qualifications ranked in the top third of the teams they were up against. They were selected to pair up with the sixth seed alliance to play in the finals matches and were eliminated in the quarterfinals. Their season included two regional wins and the Engineering Inspiration Award.
More than 450 robotics teams from around the world participated in the World Championships. That breaks down to more than 14,000 students from 40 different countries. All the LSR7 Teams should be extremely proud of their performances.
