LSHS Girl's Basketball

Congratulations to the Lee's Summit High School girl's basketball team for winning the District Championship. The Tigers are part of the Class 6 District 6 tournament. Next up, the State Championship Quarterfinals on March 8 at 6 p.m. Tigers take on Kickapoo to see who will advance to the state semifinals.

BCMS Art Teacher's Parade of Hearts

For a second year, Bernard Campbell Middle School art teacher Katie Messick will have a heart featured in the Parade of Hearts. The event features hearts designed by artists from all over the metro, selected for their designs last year. You can see the Mrs. Messick's heart and all the other Parade of Hearts at The American Royal on April 12. Afterwards, all the hearts will be dispersed across the metro.

NAA Next Generation Honoree

Congratulations to Y-Club Lee's Summit site leader Lorenzo Harrison. He was named one of the National AfterSchool Association's (NAA) 2024 Next Generation of Afterschool Leaders. He was selected in part due to his contributions that have made an influence throughout LSR7 and the community along with his passion for development of himself and others.
