Teacher selected to represent Missouri

Rachel Benson, a German teacher at Pleasant Lea and East Trails Middle Schools, won the 2023 Best of Missouri award for her recent presentation about using Chat GPT and AI. She'll represent Missouri at the Central States of Teaching of Foreign Languages Conference next year and present once again.

National Merit Scholarship Finalists

Five LSR7 students have been named Finalists for the National Merit Scholarship awards program. They'll be considered for the scholarships offered in 2024.

Missouri Council For Social Studies Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Pleasant Lea Middle School Teacher Taylor Guldenpfennig was named Missouri Council for Social Studies' Middle School Teacher of the Year! She'll be honored at an upcoming conference in Springfield and will be nominated for the National Council of Social Studies Teacher of the Year award as well.
