Students offer testimony to state representatives

Five Lee's Summit West International Baccalaureate (IB) students traveled to Jefferson City this week to offer testimony supporting a bill being considered by Missouri Legislators. The new legislation will award credit to students entering any state college or university if they receive a score of four or higher on their IB course. This is similar to a law already in place for AP exams. Students who receive a three or higher on those courses can receive credit for that work at any publicly funded state college or university.

Two ensembles were selected to perform together and more than 30 individual students were selected to perform with the All-State band, orchestra, jazz band, choir and collective. Full list of participants here.
