Learn More: Voluntary Rollback
LSR7 is facing a projected reduction of $7 to $10 million in revenue for the 2026-27 school year, driven by decisions made at the local, state, and federal levels outside of the district's control. This fall, the Board of Education will consider setting its operating tax rate at the voter-approved ceiling by rescinding the voluntary rollback it granted to taxpayers in 2023. 2024 Tax Rate Hearing: At its regular Board meeting, the Board of Education did not approve the district recommendation, with a vote of 6 no, 0 yes and 1 abstain. The recommendation that did not pass was presented in the tax rate hearing prior to the regular Board meeting.

2023 Tax Rate Hearing: Jackson County Assessed Valuation and LSR7 Tax Rate
