High School Curriculum

Nearly 200 course offerings are available in R-7 high schools, including vocational, college preparatory, fine arts, practical arts, physical education and Junior Air Force ROTC.

Courses include the areas of English Language Arts, mathematics, science, social studies, engineering and industrial technology, family and consumer sciences, computers, business education, journalism and broadcasting, internship work programs, technology, physical education and health, band, strings and choir. Academically challenging courses are available through the honors classes, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and college-credit and dual-credit courses. Lessons are offered on positive character traits and drug-abuse resistance skills. Full special education services are available for students with disabilities. Students may also choose to enroll in a learning lab, providing a structured study environment.
