Gifted
The Lee's Summit R-7 Gifted Education Program provides specialized learning opportunities for students whose educational needs extend beyond the general classroom.
Our program is designed to challenge gifted learners through meaningful learning experiences that promote critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and personal growth.
We believe gifted education is more than providing advanced academic content. It is about creating opportunities for students to ask questions, solve authentic problems, develop their unique strengths, and learn alongside intellectual peers in an environment that encourages curiosity, innovation, and lifelong learning.
Our Purpose
The purpose of the Lee's Summit R-7 Gifted Education Program is to provide learning experiences that meet the unique academic, creative, and social-emotional needs of gifted learners. Through inquiry, exploration, and authentic application, students are encouraged to maximize their potential while developing the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed for future success.
