AUTO AND HOME CARE

This course is designed to introduce students to the general operation and basic care necessary to maintain an automobile and home. Automotive maintenance items include: belts, hoses, batteries, tires, fluids, filters, as well as procedures such as jump starting a stalled car and changing a flat tire. Home maintenance items that will be covered include: basic house ownership & construction, interior/exterior wall coverings, plumbing, electrical wiring, and general maintenance.  Safety, Troubleshooting and problem solving will be major concepts throughout this class.
