COMPUTER HARDWARE & OPERATING SYSTEMS I

PREREQUISITE: Recommend a grade C or better in Algebra I

Students will study PC configuration, diagnostics and repair, safety and preventative maintenance, and network
support. Students will connect computer components to make a working computer and then install a variety of operating
systems to make the computers functional. This course is designed to prepare students for technology courses and
certifications at Summit Technology. This course, along with Computer Hardware & Operating Systems II, helps
students prepare for CompTIA’s A+ certification.
