This course helps students prepare for CompTIA’s A+ certification. The course presents an in-depth exposure to computer operating systems. Through hands-on activities and lab simulations, students will enhance their PC knowledge through review and reinforcement on how to safely work on and assemble a computer. Students will learn to identify and manage a variety of operating system components, and storage devices. This course includes an introduction to Local Area Networking including wireless options, protocols and connectivity troubleshooting as well as an introduction to network security and system management. May be offered for articulated credit to eligible students.
