Work includes cultures of the French-speaking peoples, longer readings, and more extensive writing. The thematic
units include identities, experiences, human ingenuity, social organization and sharing the planet. The student
should expect to work independently and to speak French as much as possible to strengthen communicat ion skills.
Active class participation is essential. Because this class emphasizes communication, regular attendance is
required. NOTE: French IV may meet in combined classes with French V. This class may be offered for dual
