PAINTING III

Grades 11-12

Credit: 0.5 unit
PREREQUISITE: B- in Painting II or teacher approval

Students will build on previous painting skills and explore more advanced color theories and concepts using creativity
and personal expression. This course emphasizes advanced art production through idea development, artist research,
presentation, and critique. The Advanced Painting Student is expected to continue to further develop a higher level of
engagement and investigation of artistic processes both inside and outside of the classroom studio.
