PHYSICS

WEIGHTED: 0.5
Grades: 10-12

Credit: 1 unit
PREREQUISITE:
Completion of Algebra I (B- or better)

Students in Physics focus on traditional concepts in physics, and are encouraged to explore new discoveries in this field of science.
The course includes an overview of science and engineering practices, which will lead students toward a clearer understanding
of motion, energy, electricity, magnetism, and the laws that govern the physical universe, including our own Earth. As students
refine and expand their understanding of physics, they will apply their knowledge in experiments that require themto ask
questions and create hypotheses. Throughout the course, students solve problems, reason abstractly, and learn to think critically.
