POWER AND ENERGY TECHNOLOGY

Grades 9-12

PREREQUISITE: None

A variety of past, present and future energy sources will be studied.  Concepts of how power and energy is harnessed and utilized are emphasized.  Hands-on lab activities will accompany classroom instruction in Transportation, Solar Energy,  Engine Operation, Hydraulics/ Pneumatics and Electricity. Students may be required to bring items into class to help construct projects.  Safety will be a major emphasis throughout this course. This class does have a class fee for take home projects.
