In this course students will increase their active vocabulary, use more complex grammar, continue development of listening and
speaking skills, and read and write longer passages. Vocabulary themes include health and wellbeing, housing and the arts.
Students are expected to participate in class discussions, improve their pronunciation and fluency, and improve their reading
comprehension. Active class participation is essential. Because this class emphasizes communication, regular attendance is
required.
