School Based Services

School-based clinicians provide support for students in the following ways:

• Mental health appointments and check-ins
• Classroom support for students
• Resources for families needing additional financial, social or emotional assistance
• Crisis Intervention
• Consultation on behavioral issues

You may consider school-based clinicians if you're concerned about your student in the following areas:

• Mental health (anger, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, etc.)
• Basic needs, homelessness
• Pregnancy 
• Change in academic performance
• Chronic attendance/tardiness issues
• Coping or social skills

Students must be referred to Burrell or ReDiscover clinicians by staff in their building. If you're concerned about your child or student, speak to your school about getting a referral.

School-based services take place in your child's school during the school day. This allows students to schedule around instruction and avoid academic impact.

Caregivers can be as involved as they would like after the initial permission process. Clinicians value caregiver input and believe it plays a significant role in a student's progress.

We strive for families to have little to no cost in services. We utilize insurance and other funds available to assist in this endeavor.
