High School Athletics & Activities
Athletics and activities improvements are part of a long-term master plan.
The district invested $13.2 million in athletics and activities improvements in the 2020 bond cycle and is budgeting an additional $9 million in the 2025 cycle to complete additional priorities with available funds.
High School Baseball & Softball (Lee's Summit North & West)
- Scope: Updated baseball & softball fields at Lee's Summit North and Lee's Summit West
- Estimated Cost: $4.5 million
Rationale:
- Updates LSN and LSW baseball/softball fields to be more aligned with the LSHS fields at ETMS.
- Includes turf and fencing.
- Additional enhancements, such as lighting, are under consideration and will be included if budget constraints allow.
High School Soccer & Band Fields (All High Schools)
- Scope: An additional multi-use turf field at each high school
- Estimated Cost: $4.5 million
Rationale:
- Provides one multi-use turf field at each high school that is safe, durable, and more weather-resistant.
- Provides all three high schools with equitable access to high-quality athletic facilities.
- Enhances the high school experience for students involved in athletics and activities, particularly soccer and band.
