Pre-Kindergarten
The Lee's Summit R-7 School District launched its pre-K program for 4 year olds in 2024-25.
Separate from our Great Beginnings Early Education Center programs, the new pre-K program serves around 200 students at Prairie View Elementary, 501 SE Todd George Parkway. It includes tuition-based and free programs.
Eligibility:

Must turn 4 by July 31, 2025.
- Must live in the Lee's Summit R-7 School District boundaries
- Must provide transportation to and from program
- Must qualify for Free & Reduced lunch (Free program only)
Get Started:
- Review program information, including income criteria for free pre-K, on this webpage.
- Enrollment will be determined by lottery and families notified of selection status by March 24, 2025.
- Selected students must provide proof-of-age and proof-of-residency during annual registration in July/August 2025. Free pre-K families must also provide an approved F/R lunch application at that time.
Please note: This program is an addition to the district and will not remove or move any programming currently offered at the existing GBEEC sites.
2024-25 Families
The Lee's Summit R-7 School District Pre-Kindergarten Program has open spots for the half-day PM program. All full-day spots are filled.
