This course targets novice-high proficiency and focuses on foundational communication skills while exploring Francophone cultures. Units emphasize Francophone world and geography, likes and dislikes, personal identity and connections, family and social relationships, and food and cuisine. Students practice exchanging simple descriptions, sharing preferences and opinions, expressing feelings, talking about routines and activities, and making comparisons. Cultural exploration is integrated throughout, including language diversity, hobbies and leisure, family structures, and culinary traditions in French-speaking regions. Because this class emphasizes communication, regular attendance is required. This class is not intended for native speakers.
