This is an introductory course where students learn basic painting techniques in watercolor and acrylic mediums. Color theory and art history are taught to develop creativity in various subject matters. A solid drawing foundation and understanding color theory is important for success in this class. Painting I is strongly recommended for students who plan to take Portfolio I or IB Visual Arts.
