PAINTING I

PREREQUISITE: B- in BOTH Foundations of Drawing and Foundations of Design or Visual Arts or teacher approval

This is an introductory course where students learn basic painting techniques in watercolor and acrylic mediums. Color theory and art history are taught to develop creativity in various subject matters. A solid drawing foundation and understanding color theory is important for success in this class. Painting I is strongly recommended for students who plan to take Portfolio I or IB Visual Arts.
