NEWS FOR PRINT AND ONLINE I

PREREQUISITE: Teacher approval with application; strongly recommend B average in English

This course provides students with the foundational skills of journalism including media literacy, law, ethics, writing, photography
and design both for print and on-line production. Students will assist in the production of the school newspaper and develop
materials for the student news website. Students have the opportunity to attend national conventions, enter contests, and earn a
journalism letter. Class is taken for elective credit.
