PAINTING II

Grades: 10-12

Credit: 0.5 unit
PREREQUISITE: B- in Painting I or teacher approval

Painting II students continue to use watercolor and acrylic to explore various subject matter, such as still life,
landscapes, and portraits. Students will engage with 20th Century artists and art movements by applying multiple
transparent and opaque painting techniques on various surfaces. Color theory and mixing are emphasized. The
Advanced Painting Student is expected to develop a higher level of engagement and investigation of artistic processes.
