This course is an accelerated, in-depth study of first year Biology. This course investigates the interconnections of life between organisms and their environments. Science and engineering practices engage students in the study of the interdependence of organisms,
energy flow, the cell, heredity, how ecosystems affect species over time, and the relationships between structure and function.
Biology is a course that teaches students how to apply basic concepts and principles of life science in order to better understand
the environment. In addition, each semester students will complete the rigorous requirements focused around the application of
scientific concepts.
