COMPARATIVE GOVERNMENT

This is a semester course designed to give students a critical perspective on the world’s diverse political structures and practices.
Topics include the sources of political authority and political power, the functions of government institutions in different countries,
and political change. Current issues will be stressed throughout the course. In addition to standard expectations, students must
be willing to do extensive reading outside of class.
