This course is based on the Next Generation Science Standards which investigates the interconnections of life between organisms
and their environments. Science and engineering practices engage students in the study of the interdependence of organisms,
energy flow, the cell, heredity, how ecosystems affect species over time, and the relationships between structure and function.
Biology is a course that teaches students how to apply basic concepts and principles of life science to better understand the
environment.
